The Mercury Theatre is owned by the Equippers Property Trust, a Charitable Not-for-Profit Trust. We are passionate about people, creativity, and the performing arts.

We are currently restoring the theatre to its former 1910 glory. When we reopen, the Theatre will seat 800 people with improved accessibility. There will also be the option to remove the floor seats for standing room in the stalls, allowing up to 1,000 people to attend events.

The theatre will be available for hire from Monday to Saturday, with Equippers Church using the venue on Sundays. As we approach the completion of renovations in late 2026, we will update the hiring process, where an external company will manage the theatre's hire outs.
